Momentum Bikes Super D Scotty Graham Memorial September 12th & 13th Racer Callout

Posted: Sep 3, 2009

The first annual Mt Hood Super D is officially going down on Sept 12th and 13th. Hosted by Timberline Lodge, Momentum Bikes, Monster Energy, Fluidride and Hurricane Racing. This truly amazing race will start at the historic Timberline Lodge and descend down the sandy, rocky and slightly rutted 'Glade Trail' and then traversing above Government Camp's 'Cross Town Trail' to the very exhilarating 'Pioneer Bridal Trail' ending at the 'locals only' tunnel. Estimated length is over 8 miles and times should be around 14-18 minutes of bike riding bliss. Bring your fitness and big lungs.

Entry for Sat (training from 11am to 4pm) and Sunday's race is $50 USD. If you're only wanting to race on Sunday- then $40 bucks will get you entered, including that morning's warm up run.

Awards and Raffle will be held after the last racer crosses the finish line and returns to Ski Bowl parking lot (where the event registration and parking will be located) and hosted by yours truly. They are selling camping permits for those of you road warriors traveling from beyond the NW. So don't worry too hard over lodging/camp sites.

Can't wait. with the rain weve had the course should be perfect. Me and some of my team were up at hood this weekend cleaning the course and moving any really big rocks out of the middle of the trail. The glade has never been so good.

I'm using my full dh rig for this one. the climb maybe only twenty feet or so, its the flats that well get you on the middle section. But the top is super fast with lots of speed
